Since contemporary times call for a 24/7 news cycle, it only seems natural for the world to be more likely to have 'knee-jerk' reactions to every tidbit of news. The sports world is no different. In fact, all parties involved in the world of sports may be the leaders in knee-jerk reactions. Let's take a look at "Exhibit A: ESPN.com's SportsNation" current poll asks the question: Which team will win the Eastern Conference?
The choices are: The Celtics, Heat, Magic or 'Other.' The current results are below from the screen shot, but my guess is that if this was taken in July, August, September or even last night at around, say 7:29pm, the results would look drastically different.
