Kobe looking to emulate Paul Pierce

KBPP

In his recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Kobe Bryant talked about growing old and referenced Paul Pierce:

In preparing for this season, Bryant told friends that the player he is analyzing, as an example of adjusting your game as you get older, is fellow 36-year-old Paul Pierce. This is part of his goal to become “more efficient” on the court.

Said Bryant, “I’m going to max [my last two years] out too, to do whatever I can. Leave no stone unturned, no water left in the sponge.”

I’m not sure Pierce has adjusted his game all that much. He was always a shifty player. It’s not like he had to cope with a sudden loss of quickness or explosiveness like Kobe.

If you follow the Truth on social media, you know that he’s been posting many videos of his summer workout sessions:

Get after it, Truth. We’re all looking forward to the Wizards season.

As for the Lakers…

After missing out on LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony in July, the Lakers held a free agent workout Tuesday in Los Angeles. The workout included forward Michael Beasley; big men Dexter Pittman, Greg Stiemsma, and Daniel Orton; and guards Bobby Brown, Toney Douglas, Ben Hansbrough and Malcolm Lee, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports.

Bahahahaha!
