Navy comes into this game having beaten three bowl teams (ECU, CMU and Air Force) and Arizona State comes in having beaten just one (Arizona). The Sun Devils went just 1-4 this year against teams that would end up in bowls.
The key match-up in this game is the Arizona State run defense (which came in 10th in the Pac-12) against the Navy offense (6th in the Nation in rushing). There is no comparable team on the Sun Devils schedule but the Arizona State rushing defense did give it up early and often in many games this season. One positive you can take is that the Sun Devils actually won two games in which they allowed more than 230 yards rushing (Arizona and Illinois).
The point spread in this one might be a little rich but I do think that the Sun Devils just have a bit too much talent for Navy to handle. The key for the Sun Devils is to contain the Navy offense as much as possible and to keep their defense off the field.
