Kravitz: Just say no to Hayward

Unless former Butler star Gordon Hayward has out-of-this-universe tryouts and plays like a Hall of Famer at the various NBA pre-draft camps, the Indiana Pacers will not select him.

Nor should they, no matter where they pick. It looks now like their silly late-season spurt will leave them with the 10th pick in the draft.

In some minds, this might feel like 1987 all over again, the locals clamoring for Indiana hero Steve Alford, then booing angrily when then-general manager Donnie Walsh smartly selected Reggie Miller out of UCLA.
