Clearly, they’re not the Indianapolis Colts, at least not the Colts who have spoiled us with so many unblemished Septembers and Octobers — and Novembers, come to think of it. They’ve set the bar so ridiculously high, a wobbly 3-2 start inspires a full-scale panic.

But something still looks and feels wrong. Something still looks off.

Like the failure to take full advantage of Chiefs coach Todd Haley’s questionable decision to try an onside kick on the opening kickoff. (The Chiefs coach said his research showed that since 2000, teams that tried an opening onside kick have a 60 percent win percentage, whether they recover it or not.)
