Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park reports that Chris Kreider (2009 – 1st) had two goals and an assist to help Boston College defeat Vermont 6-1.
Here’s highlights from the game, including Kreider’s goals…
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-QxtJiFQck&w=450&h=315]Kreider now has 4g, 4a in his last four games and has 18g, 15a overall.
…i was able to watch some of this game last night and Kreider is a man among boys at the college level. Should be interesting to see if the Rangers give Kreider a contract after his season is over and use him in the playoffs the way they did with Amonte and Weight back in 1991. Very doubtful though as this hasn’t been the Rangers game plan with players such as Stepan and Hagelin. More likely to see Rangers sign Kreider and send him to CT WHale for stretch run and hopefully playoffs.
…either way, be excited Rangers fans, be very excited.
Rubenstein also reports, J.T. Miller (2011 – 1st) scored his 20th of the season, while Michael St. Croix (2011 – 4th) tallied #s 35 and 36 last night.
In his return from an eight game suspension for a hit to the head, Dylan McIlrath (2010 – 1st) went scoreless and sat out the second half of the second period after receiving a misconduct penalty.
…starting to get a bit concerned about McIlrath. He needs to learn where that line is between being a tough, hard-nosed defenseman and a dirty one.
