Usually when you hear about someone getting surgery in Los Angeles, the immediate assumption is that it’s cosmetic. That’s not the case for Senators defenceman Filip Kuba.
No. The veil of secrecy was removed at practice today when it was announced that Kuba had surgery in Los Angeles to repair a herniated disc in his lower back. With a recovery period of one month, Kuba will miss the rest of the regular season and for him to have any chance of playing in the postseason, the Senators will at least have to advance to the second round.
