Kuraczea Leaves UConn; Depth Chart For Louisville Game

UConn Huskies @ Louisville Cardinals

During his weekly pre-game press conference, UConn Huskies head coach Randy Edsall announced that redshirt sophomore offensive guard Erik Kuraczea has withdrawn from the school for “personal reasons”. Kuraczea’s departure hurts the depth of the offensive line.

Kuraceza had been suspended earlier in the season along with quarterback Cody Endres but had worked himself into the starting spot at left guard for the Rutgers game. Mathieu Oliver will take over at left guard. Staying on the offensive line, it appears the injury suffered by Adam Masters has healed as he back in the top spot at right tackle.

D.J. Shoemate has worked himself back into the backup spot at running back while Zach Frazer is still not listed on the two deep. Both placekicker Dave Teggart and punter Cole Wagner are no longer listed in an “OR” situation at their respective positions.

One other small thing to note is that Blidi Wreh-Wilson is still listed as a starter at cornerback but we will not know whether or not he is playing on Saturday until the injury report is released by the Big East on Thursday night.
