The Monster Energy Cup Series Drivers were back to New Hampshire for the final time this season with an all Kyle front row of Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson.
Kyle Busch started off leading laps as Martin Truex Jr. got hot and took the race lead by lap 40. The long green flag run just kept on going and going and Martin took the first stage win again. The cars pit and Martin Truex Jr. won the race off pit road.
The second stage was the Martin Truex Jr. as he led lap after lap after lap. On the final lap of the stage we get into messy chaos as Kevin Harvicks spins out. So much smoke comes out we get the red flag as Kurt Busch, Jeffery Earnhardt, Martin Truex Jr. and more cars wind up getting damage. Kyle Busch slipped through the mess and won the second stage.
“I got sideways,” said Kevin Harvick. “Ripped reverse out of it trying to back up.”
When the cars finally got to pit Kyle Busch won the race off pit road. The third stage started off with a Kyle Busch leading the laps race as Martin Truex Jr. was moving his way up through the field. Martin got up to 11th and just could not move up a spot for while. At lap 220 we get a debris caution. The caution brought in the leaders and Kyle Busch kept the race lead. We get a new good green flag run and with under 40 laps left Kasey Kahne brings out the caution as he stops on the track trying to get to pit road. The cars pit and Martin Truex Jr. takes only two tires to win the race off pit road.
The race restarts and it was quickly back to caution time as David Ragan spins out. Then we get a new race restart and Trevor Bayne quickly spins out to bring out a new caution. We get a new restart and this one was the final one. Kyle Busch gets the race lead and then pulled a one second plus lead over Kyle Larson to help get the race win.
“We executed,” said Kyle Busch on the win. He also stated that he good short run speed in the end.
Kyle Larson said he could not get the throttle down at the end of the race.
