Kyle Schwarber has played in less than 70 games for the Chicago Cubs…but he’s already made his mark on the Windy City.

In February, the 23-year-old slugger hit a batting practice home run that ended up destroying a fan’s windshield. Now, the busted glass has found its place in the Chicago Sports Museum and in the process…raised a little money for charity.

“It’s perfect for the museum,”executive vice president of Harry Caray’s Restaurant Group, owners of the museum, Beth Goldberg Heller said.

The Chicago Sports Museum paid $900 to have the windshield as part of its display, with all proceeds going to the Paz de Cristo Outreach Center in Mesa. It will join Sammy Sosa’s corked bat, the baseball used to make the last out of the 1945 World Series and, of course, what is left of the infamous Steve Bartman baseball.
