Halo Headlines: C.J. Wilson featured in Esquire, LaRussa expects big things from healthy Pujols

The October 29th, 2013 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including C.J. Wilson featured in Esquire, LaRussa expects big things from a healthy Pujols and much more…

The Story: C.J. Wilson did a photoshoot of his supermodel fiancee that was featured in Esquire magazine.

The Monkey Says: Yep, that is his future wife and it was C.J. snapping the photos. This has been your monthly reminder that C.J. Wilson is better at life than you.

The Story: Tony LaRussa still thinks Albert Pujols can be the best hitter in baseball if he is healthy.

The Monkey Says: That is encouraging to here, but Tony isn't exactly being objective here. He also glosses over the idea of him returning to full health as if it is something that will happen easily.

The Story: Special assistant to the GM Larry Corrgian has left the Angels to return to the Twins.

The Monkey Says: This is just speculation on my part, but my guess is that this has less to do with the Angels and more to do with Terry Ryan returning to daily control of the Twins.

The Story: Cam Bedrosian, C.J. Cron and Taylor Lindsey were named to the Arizona Fall League All-Star Game.

The Monkey Says: Cron is absolutely raking in the AFL and Lindsey has been just fine. Bedrosian has had a rough go though, but because this is just a PR showcase, the son of the former MLB All-Star gets to be an All-Star instead of Mike Morin who hasn't allowed a run in seven innings of work.

The Story: Baseball America ranks the Angels 27th in terms of farm systems poised to deliver near-term value.

The Monkey Says: The system is getting better, but there just isn't a lot of talent ready to break into the majors in 2014.
