The October 28th, 2014 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Cowart, Gott named AFL All-Stars, Lucho claimed off waivers by Brewers and much more…

The Story: Kaleb Cowart and Trevor Gott were named to the AFL All-Star team.
The Monkey Says: Which means nothing as the All-Star team is more about name recognition and marketing. A perfect example of that is Cowart made the team despite carrying a .463 OPS in the AFL. So, yeah, don’t go thinking that Cowart is back on the road to Wellville.

The Story: Luis Jimenez was claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Monkey Says: Lucho has been libre’d, only his freedom is in Wisconsin, not Anaheim. The Halos had given Lucho a few shots at sticking in the majors, but his bat never held up. Maybe he will have better luck in the National League and carve out a career as a utility infielder.

The Story: Ryan Brasier and Tony Campana were outrighted off the 40-man roster and assigned to Triple-A.
The Monkey Says: Brasier is down with Tommy John surgery. Campana will hopefully stick around so that Scioscia can stupidly leave him off the postseason roster again next October.
