The October 8th, 2014 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Hamilton responds to fan criticism, Angels facing financial restraints and much more…

The Story: Josh Hamilton responds to all the boos he received in the ALDS.
The Monkey Says: Yeah, that’s not going to help. Josh has to do what he has to do to not let the fans get to him, but he probably doesn’t need to be quite so mouthy about it since the fans clearly are looking for any opportunity to bury him.

The Story: The Angels are facing financial restraints this offseason.
The Monkey Says: Unless they can find a way to unload some contracts, the Halos are only going to have room under the luxury tax to add role players. They really need to add some starting pitching depth and beef up their bench, but that’s going to be hard to accomplish with less than $10 million to spend.

The Story: The man beaten in the Angel Stadium parking lot’s condition is improving.
The Monkey Says: He isn’t able to provide details on the attack yet, but this is good news.

The Story: The Angels claimed OF Alfredo Marte and OF Roger Kieschnick.
The Monkey Says: They DFA’d Brennan Boesch and John Buck in order to accommodate this, but that’s really just paper work at this stage of the season. Both of the players they claimed were farmhands with the D’Backs last year, because Jerry Dipoto just can’t help himself. Both figure to be given a shot at earning a bench job this spring.

The Story: John McDonald wants to play in 2015.
The Monkey Says: Let’s see if MLB teams want him to play in 2015. The Angels could look to him again, but have a number of internal options that they could go with instead.

The Story: The 2015 Steamer projections are now available.
The Monkey Says: You get regression! You get regression! You all get regression!
