The October 16th, 2014 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Cory Rasmus preparing to be a starting pitcher, David Eckstein reads mean blog posts about himself and much more…

The Story: Cory Rasmus is preparing to be a full-time starter.
The Monkey Says: This appears to be his choice as the Angels haven’t told him what to do one way or the other. They should probably have that conversation. There is no real harm in letting him prep to be a starter as they can always pull the plug in training camp if they don’t need him in that role. The only concern is that the big reason Rasmus stopped being a starter in the Braves organization was that he couldn’t stay healthy. That will have to factor into the decision, but the reward of a quality rotation arm versus a decent middle reliever seems like it is a risk worth taking.

The Story: Former Angel David Eckstein reads mean blog posts about himself.
The Monkey Says: When I saw Fan Cave put this out, the first thing I did was rack my brain to try and remember if I ever wrote anything that might end up in this skit. Phew!

The Story: The top prospects in the Angels system, from a fantasy perspective.
The Monkey Says: It isn’t quite prospect list season, but it is getting pretty close, so you’ll have to settle for the fantasy version of top prospects.

The Story: Kole Calhoun’s season in review.
The Monkey Says: What? There can be no “The Bad” section for Calhoun. I refuse to believe he is anything less than perfect. TAKE IT BACK!
