The October 22nd, 2014 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Scioscia named Sporting News top manager, Angels drafted Buster Posey but never offered a contract and much more…

The Story: The Sporting News named Mike Scioscia the top manager in the AL.
The Monkey Says: As voted on by other AL managers, which probably carries more weight than that arcane BBWAA process. Remember how people thought Scioscia was going to get fired after either of the last two seasons? Weird how things change, huh?

The Story: The Angels originally drafted Buster Posey out of high school but never offered him a contract.
The Monkey Says: They actually drafted him as a pitcher, just to increase the intrigue. This story sounds like the Halos screwed up royally, but these sort of things happen all the time. If anything, they just should have never drafted Posey since the known issues were that he was never going to sign.

The Story: The Angels Fan Favorites Awards voting has opened.
The Monkey Says: If anybody votes for the Angels Cowboy Hat, you are banned from this site. I will get your IP address and block you.
