The Monkey Says: I hate this comparison still, but given that Trout has already had a 10-WAR season, which is incredibly rare, I really don't see how he doesn't have a higher ceiling.

The Monkey Says: Seeing how the Angels have had several starting pitchers hide injuries for months on end in recent years, nothing would shock me less than Hanson going down in July, admitting his shoulder or elbow has been bothering him since March.
The Story: David Carpenter is hoping to land one of the final spots in the bullpen.
The Monkey Says: He and Richards are the front runners, but Fernando Cabrera could have a shot too. I also wouldn't be surprised if they keep Nick Maronde on the roster until the minor league season starts since Sean Burnett has not looked very good so far.
The Story: Bill Hall will likely be released by Tuesday, then re-signed to a standard minor league contract.
The Monkey Says: Hall just isn't healthy right now, but the Halos really seem to like him. Doing this bit of paperwork would allow them to stash him in the minors until he can get healthy without the Angels being forced to burn a 40-man roster spot on him so he can convalesce on the DL.
