The November 3rd, 2014 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Angels to trade Kendrick or Freese for pitching, Halos ranked 12th in Future Power Rankings and much more…

The Story: The Angels will look to trade either Howie Kendrick or David Freese for rotation help.
The Monkey Says: Confirming what everyone expected them to do. Kendrick seems far more likely to be traded as he is the better player and there is a more robust market for second basemen. Plus, the Halos shopped Howie hard last season, so it is clearly an idea they are very open too, likely because they have plenty of in-house options to take over for him in Grant Green and Alex Yarbrough.

The Story: The Angels ranked 12th in ESPN’s Future Power Rankings.
The Monkey Says: Be aware of any “methodology” that prominently includes the contributions of Jim Bowden.

The Story: The Angels will look to make the right moves this offseason.
The Monkey Says: This is your first of many reminders that the Angels are hamstrung under the luxury tax right now. It is, however, the first real allusion from a media member that Chris Iannetta could be shopped. That would be wise since he is coming off one of his best seasons ever, but it would also leave the Halos woefully thin at catcher.

The Story: A look at the voting totals for the Fielding Bible Awards.
The Monkey Says: A few Angels showed up in the voting, but none higher than fourth. That doesn’t mean the Angels were a bad defensive club, but rather that they got by with a roster that featured guys that were uniformly above average but not great.
