Well La Salle fans, the Explorers are getting some well deserved national attention as on Monday it was announced that they will be playing in ESPN’s annual Tip-Off Marathon. The Explorers will play the Quinnipiac Bobcats out of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. This game will be on November 12th at 9:00 am at Tom Gola Arena, it will also be shown on ESPN2.

Last season, Quinnipiac finished with a 15-16 record and an 11-7 conference record. For the Explorers, they went to the Sweet 16 last season and look to advance further than that this upcoming season. This will be a game for the Explorers to show up and prove to the tournament committee early that they will be big time players in March.

La Salle is returning the same Sweet 16 team this upcoming season except for Ramon Galloway, who graduated and is now playing basketball overseas. The starting lineup will pretty much be the same for the Explorers and expect Tyrone Garland to replace Galloway in the starting lineup and bring that same kind of play and intensity. So this will be an early game for the Explorers as they will be sandwich in between the 7:00 am game which is Hartford at Florida Gulf Coast and the 11:00 am game which is LSU versus UMass.
