John Lackey had a disastrous outing in Arlington tonight. He gave up 9 runs on 10 hits (including a grand slam to Beltre) in 3 2/3 innings. The Red Sox offense did its job scoring 5 runs on 8 hits including homers by Ortiz and Ellsbury, but the deficit was too much to make up.
On the bright side, Adrian Gonzalez continued to shine with three more hits tonight.
