Dominique Wilkins was honored by the Atlanta Hawks with a statue today. It’s a tremendous honor for the Human Highlight Film.
Nique is a legend. We’ve seen it first hand in Boston a lot. Larry Bird has seen it first hand in some epic battles. And as we know, Bird had some words to say to Nique in those battles.
So now, as he is honored by his long-time team, the team he is most associated with, Bird certainly took the opportunity to send a hearty congratulations to his rival….

Of course we guys know that barbs like that are simultaneous ball-busting respect and a reminder that “hey you couldn’t stop me either.”
