2015 has arrived and that means so has the 2015 Rose Bowl. This year, the Florida State Seminoles will be one of the participants, matching up against the Oregon Ducks in the first ever College Football Playoff. The Rose Bowl will be one of the semifinal games taking place on New Year’s Day with the Sugar Bowl the other semifinal matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
For ‘Noles fans still waiting out the market, the cheapest Florida State vs. Oregon tickets available are at PrimeSport.com. PrimeSport is the official fan-to-fan ticket exchange, VIP Hospitality and Travel Package Provider of the Rose Bowl Game. The lowest priced tickets available are currently $99, and PrimeSport also has suite tickets to the Rose Bowl available for as low as $270.
Seminoles fans who attend the game will have an opportunity to see Florida State try to reach their second consecutive national championship game. Last year, Florida State visited the Rose Bowl for the 2014 BCS National Championship game. They defeated the Auburn Tigers 34-31 with a late touchdown drive engineered by Jameis Winston being the difference in the game.
This year, they’re back at the Rose Bowl, though a win this time around would only get them to the national championship game. The Seminoles enter as the third seed of the four teams in the playoff, despite being the only team to have not lost a game yet this season. Oregon lost to the Arizona Wildcats earlier in the year, but have been on point ever since, scoring more than 40 points in eight games since.
Florida State’s defense will need to hold back Heisman winner Marcus Mariota if they want to pull off the victory. Mariota ran away with the award this season, one year after Winston took it home. The high-profile quarterback matchup is also a preview into the offseason discussion of which player should be selected first in the 2015 NFL Draft.
It should be a very close contest and could come down to which quarterback gets the ball last. We’re hours away, so now is your last opportunity to grab tickets and get into the building to see the first ever College Football Playoff game take place.
