Josh Hamilton had… let’s be nice and say a “rough” game last night. This, of course, was just about what we should’ve expected. It turns out that hitting a baseball is hard when you are fighting through injury and have barely swung a bat in the last three weeks. It is for this reason that some people didn’t think Josh Hamilton should play last night, or possibly in the ALDS at all.
There are also a lot more people who just can’t stand Hamilton and couldn’t wait for him to fail. I call these people “most Angels fans.” I don’t know if it is his contract, his days with the Rangers, his fragility, his personality or a combination of all that. OK, it is probably a combination of all that. Dude is not easy to like and apparently super duper easy have irrational cartoon hate for.
As a result, it is no wonder that when Hamilton started to have some, um, issues last night that everyone jumped on the chance to kick him in those aching ribs while he was down. Let’s take a walk down memory lane and relive all the schadenfreude, shall we?
Josh Hamilton should change his first name to "Ohfor."

I think I would look better on a baseball field than Josh Hamilton right now.

I swear, I once saw Josh Hamilton a at the plate swing at a foul ball that a player was tossing to a fan underhand in the stands.

If Josh Hamilton hopes to hit Yordano Ventura tomorrow, he should probably start his swing now.

This Josh Hamilton at-bat was the saddest thing: http://t.co/bZVwezpGqE

Wow, Josh Hamilton looked lost in that at-bat. Three bad swings against Tim Collins. #Angels

The $32 million that 36-year-old Josh Hamilton gets will be hilarious. Never forget that.

And those are just the tweets from the more measured media personalities and bloggers. Angels fans were a lot less forgiving and polite. You might want to send the kids out of the room for this part:
Josh Hamilton 2014 looks like if Josh Hamilton 2011 accidentally killed a guy and fell into drugs and went into hiding… wait what? Oh. Shit.

Yeesh, there’s even Hamilton-on-Hamilton crime there. And, oh by the way, those are just the profane tweets I found in all of 30 seconds of searching. There are certainly a lot more. But perhaps the biggest bomb of all that got dropped is this lasting image the Angels fans will surely come to remember this game by:
Picture is worth a thousand words. Notice who is on the bench when the entire rest of the team is on the dugout rail. pic.twitter.com/hddGJRBGYt

With the fans now already frothing at the mouth about Hamilton, I’m sure everyone will react rationally if he does even the slightest thing wrong tonight.
