In short, the Bucs dominated the Panthers last year in their own stadium. 475 yards of offense from the Bucs, spread out evenly over passing (321) and rushing (154) where Cadillac ended up with 92 rushing yards was only stymied by the fact that Josh Freeman tossed up 5 interceptions as he was just getting started on his rookie campaign. His hot receiver for the day was Antonio Bryant, who had his best game of the year against the Panthers, the team he had his best game as a Buccaneer against the year before in 2008. AB finished with 116 yards receiving, not the least of which was this spectacular grab on the sideline.

To be honest, if the Bucs offense has half the success they did last year with this years play-makers, they should be able to start the year off 2-0. The Problem for the Bucs was Freeman’s decision making in the end-zone where most of the interceptions occurred. It all added up to a frustrating day for the Bucs and their fans; 4 Trips in the red zone 8 trips inside the Panther’s 30. Then there was the 3rd and 1 call from the Carolina 3 yard line when Rookie Chris Pressley was called on to run the ball up the middle. He was stuffed. So then again, were the Bucs. Last year.
