TSN‘s Darren Dreger spoke recently on the status of the Jason Spezza market:
“Well again, it’s a moving target as far as Spezza is concerned. It’s believe that the St. Louis Blues would very much like to acquire Jason Spezza. They have made gestures. There has been ongoing communication between Doug Armstrong and Bryan Murray of the Ottawa Senators. At one point, Patrik Berglund’s name was suggested as part of the package – that certainly is not going to get it done. So if the Blues are serious and they definitely want to add Jason Spezza, then they’re going to have to better the package and that’s a possibility. I know Rick Curran, who represents Jason Spezza, was on his way into the hotel not long ago to meet with Bryan Murray of the Ottawa Senators for the latest update.”
He also commented on the status of the Ryan Kesler trade discussions, which are believed to play a role in how or where Jason Spezza is moved; stating that the general consensus in Philadelphia is that a Kesler trade should take place within the next 24 hours.

Spezza Destinations From Garrioch
Missed out on posting these tweets earlier, but Bruce Garrioch did indicate that Dallas and the Chicago Blackhawks have been kicking the tires on Jason Spezza.
Can confirm @MarkLazerus report CHI has shown interest in Spezza. May be six teams – some kicking tires. Murray will speak later. #Sens

Chicago has been mentioned before casually, but there’s hope that their involvement principally involves them inflating the cost for their Western Conference rivals to acquire Spezza.
