The NBA unveiled the 2011-12 schedule today. And assuming a new collective bargaining agreement is reached in time, the Kings will start the season at home for the first time in eight years.
The last time the Kings opened the year in Sacramento, they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-92. Oh, and it was also the debut of some 18-year-old kid from Akron, Ohio.

LeBron James led the Cavs in the box score tallying 25 points, nine assists, six rebounds, four steals and two turnovers. Meanwhile, Peja Stojakovic led the Kings with 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and one turnover.

Bobby Jackson on LeBron’s debut:
“He’s a talent. Look at how he plays. The best thing about him is how he distributes the ball. He does it extremely well.”

“He obviously was good tonight. He’s got a lot of talent. He gets to the basket, he sees the floor. For the first game, you had to be impressed.”
