Houston’s Legacy Fighting Championship is making another return to North Texas as Legacy 44 will go down at the Allen Events Center in Allen, TX on October 2. As it usually the case when Legacy travels up I-45 the fight card is filled to the rafters with some of the most accomplished and talented fighters in the region. This week Legacy FC released the fight card for the October 2 event and as you can see, it’s got some top level talent on it.
The evening’s main event will feature two streaking bantamweights as Dallas’ Steven “Ocho” Peterson will take on undefeated Blackzillian prospect Irwin “The Beast” Rivera. Peterson is currently riding a four-fight win streak against some legitimate bad asses. His last fight was a submission win over noted jiu-jitsu fighter Caio Machado at Legacy 38. Rivera is only four fights into his professional MMA career but has been wrecking cages in his home state of Florida.
In addition to the Peterson – Rivera main event, Legacy 44 will feature the return of Jason “Wild Thing” Sampson who is riding a two fight win streak since returning from a major knee injury that sidelined him for over a year. Also scheduled to appear on the card is jiu-jitsu badass and black belt world champion Rafael Lovato, Jr. who will take on Charles Byrd in the night’s co-main event.
