LeSean McCoy is ‘finished with Philadelphia’

Earlier this week, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy spoke to Philadelphia reporters about the whole situation with former head coach Chip Kelly not “respecting the stars.”

Since his comments, McCoy is finished talking about his recent employer.

“I’m finished with Philadelphia,” McCoy told PFT Radio on Wednesday. “There’s no more to talk about. [The interview] I had was with one of the Philly writers, who I’ve been working with for so long. We were having a conversation about it. I answered honestly.”

McCoy, who signed a five-year, $40 million contract extension with the Bills, went on to say that he was finished with Philadelphia and will only answer questions pertaining to his new team.

“But I’m pretty much done with Philadelphia,” he continued. “I’m a Buffalo Bill. So any further questions or any answers I’ll be giving or answering to, has to be geared to my team. I have no hatred or nothing against Chip or Philly. I’m trying to start my new legacy here.”

“I’m happy to be here, happy to feel wanted. I feel appreciated with this team.”

If he [McCoy] is seriously “finished with Philadelphia” like he says he is, this gripe with Chip would not have resurfaced. McCoy should just keep his mouth closed and focus on adapting to his new team.
