Bobby Valentine announced who would be the Opening Day starter today and it is Jon Lester. Josh Beckett will get the ball on the Home Opener at Fenway. Lester was the Opening Day starter last year and even though Beckett had the best year of all the starting pitchers, Lester didn’t pitch himself out of the spot. All in all, that seems like the fair and good choice.
It looks like I will be seeing Josh Beckett at Fenway on April 13th!
