The 2014 NCAA West Region looks packed with teams that can make some noise. With the likes of Arizona, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, San Diego State, Creighton, Wisconsin, Baylor, and Oregon the field is wide open for Cinderella to show up at some point.
The second round matchups could look like this: Arizona – Oklahoma State, Creighton – Baylor, Oregon – Wisconsin, and Oklahoma – San Diego State. I would not want to play Oklahoma State right now. People are dismissing them but they can turn this Region on its head. Wisconsin is Big 10 tested and well coached.
Creighton has to shoot well to stick around a few rounds. San Diego State has a ton of athleticism and could make some noise. Arizona received the one seed and they deserved it. But I am not so sure they will be around at the end. Because of the upsets that could come from this region I am going to sit back and enjoy. This bracket embodies why March Madness is the best Tournament on the planet.
