WARRIORS PRACTICE FACILITY, OAKLAND CA — Following the Golden Sate Warriors‘ return from their final road trip of the season, Stephen Curry touched on a number of topics in the team’s shoot-around before they faced off against the Portland Trailblazers Thursday night.

Asked about whether he thinks the Warriors will see players selected to the NBA’s All-Defensive Team, Curry said he expects there to be at least two members of the Golden State lineup.

“(Draymond Green) and (Andrew Bogut), night in and night out taking that challenge on and being the eyes of our defense,” Curry said. “If we don’t have representation… then I don’t know what people have been watching all year.”

Green later asserted that three Warriors should be selected to the All-NBA Defensive teams, throwing Andre Iguodala into mix along with Bogut and himself.

Curry also talked about how he’s became somewhat the face of the NBA during this season. Though Curry said it wasn’t something he had actively campaigned for, he said he welcomes it.

“Obviously I’m going to carry myself a certain way, try to lead the team a certain way, hopefully do some great things while I’m playing,” Curry said. “What comes of that outside of strictly those 48 minutes we play, I accept it, I embrace it, it’s a great opportunity, but I got a lot of things to worry about on the court so I’ve got to stick to that.”

His star shines ever brighter, and that’s lead to plenty of media saturation, via ads and endorsement deals. Both he and Green talked and joked about how the limelight is affecting him.

Media members also took the opportunity to ask about how the team responds to losing, now that it’s such an uncommon occurrence. Coming off their 3rd set of back-to-back losses, Curry said he’s happy with the Warriors performances after defeats.

“We haven’t lost three in a row all year so that’s a big deal for us to take care of business,” Curry said. “We’ve responded well to the LA trip where we lost two in a row, Phoenix-San Antonio early in the season.”

As for the second of the two losses at New Orleans, Curry said he was happy with the effort, but was a bit irked to hear that the league confirmed  a number of missed calls in the games’ final minutes.

“That actually makes me more angry, especially since the call going in our favor was first. So if you get that one right there’s no second call to miss,” Curry said of the missed foul on his attempted 3-point attempt and subsequent missed traveling call. ” It just burns a little even more that we should have had an opportunity to tie the game down the stretch of that fourth quarter.”
