MKostkaThe Lightning have claimed Mike Kostka off waivers from the Chicago Blackhawks. Kostka fills the organizational spot of the just released goalie Riku Helenius.

The 6’1″, 210 lbs. defenseman had two goals and three points in nine games with the Blackhawks in 2013-14. He averaged 14:26 minutes of ice time. The 26 year old is a top level AHL defenseman with 44 NHL games to his credit with Toronto and Chicago. He is signed to a one-year, two-way contract that pays him  $325,000 annually even at the minor league level.
