Despite losing to the Rangers 3-2 tonight, the Tampa Bay Lightning have made the playoffs by virtue of Carolina’s shootout win over Boston. The Panthers have clinched the Atlantic Division title. The Lightning will have to work to keep second place in the division and home ice advantage in the first round.
