Sustr played in 72 games with the Lightning during the 2014-15 season where he amassed 13 assists. He set career highs for games played, assists, plus/minus, and penalty minutes.
Sustr also appeared in 26 games during the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He recorded his first career postseason goal in game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Detroit Red Wings.
The 24 year old native of the Czech Republic has played in 117 career NHL games, all with Tampa over the last three seasons.
Per Pierre LeBrun of ESPN Sustr’s new deal is valued at $2.9 million, so a cap friendly hit of $1.45 million.
