Temple looked fast asleep in the first half of tonight’s game, trailing by as many as 11 points and went into halftime down by 38-33. Keep in mind, Temple up to this point was 0-6 when trailing at the halftime and nobody expected them to wake up the way they did in the second half. Temple came out swinging in the second half going on a 9-0 run to start and never looked back, winning 78-60. Quenton DeCosey led the way for Temple with a season-high 24 points, doing most of his damage in the second half. DeCosey had 17 second half points with 12 coming from three-point range.

The turning point for Temple definitely came at the end of the first half when Devin Coleman hit a three at the buzzer. Devin Coleman came off the bench for a second straight game, adding 17 points(5/11 3PT) to the cause. Obi Enechionyia and Josh Brown combined for 22 points and Josh Brown had a season-high 8 assists. The defense came through for Temple in the second half as they held ECU to only eight field goals after the Pirates made doubled that in the first half. The Owls seemed to be more energized in the second half and they are now 6-0 in games where they score 70 points or more. They also improve t0 3-1 in AAC play, but it’s still uncertain if this teams going anywhere this year. Temple has yet to show any signs of consistency so far through the season and it’s hard to be confident in the this team when they come out either flaming hot or stone cold.

Temple will head back out on the road on Wednesday to face a tough Memphis team, who Temple swept last year winning the two games by a combined six points. The game will be on the CBS Sports Network in the primetime slot at 8 PM.
