The Brewers acquired relief pitcher Scott Linebrink from the Padres Thursday afternoon for 3 minor league prospects. Linebrink, 30, is set to join the team in St. Louis on Friday. It’s nice to see that GM Doug Melvin isn’t content with the team he has and is willing to go get help. Linebrink solidifies the Brewers’ bullpen as perhaps the best in the NL now. Here’s hoping that he adds one more quality bat before the trade deadline next Tuesday.
