Links of the Day 9/23/12

I have been without internet all weekend, and I feel completely lost. Let’s work though the links together.

I just got back from Chicago, so I can appreciate Alfred Morris’s hot wheels.

An awful story from Baltimore, where receiver Torrey Smith’s younger brother was killed in an accident early this morning.

Will the lockout ever end? The NFL officials one, I mean. Not the hockey one. That is lasting 2 years.

SCOREBOARD
(SATURDAY)
MLB
Detroit 8, Minnesota 0 – Sam Deduno, I think, pitched this one. “Pitched”
Angels 4, Chicago 2 – I can honestly say from my weekend in Chicago, nobody talked about this game
NCAAFB
North Dakota State 66, Prairie View A&M 7 – PVAM is located near Houston, which is nowhere near a Prairie. Bad at geography, bad at football.
Minnesota 17, Syracuse 10 – This was unexpected
(SUNDAY)
NFL
Chicago 23, St. Louis 6 – Also, I didn’t hear anyone talk about this game while in Chicago.
Jacksonville 22, Indianapolis 17 – I don’t think I can handle ever hearing the name “Cecil Shorts” ever again.
Minnesota 24, San Francisco 13 – What?
Tippeligaen
Brann 2, Rosenborg 1 – Brann scored both goals in the final 10 minutes. Ouch.
MLB
Minnesota 10, Detroit 4 – Game 1 of a double header in Detroit
Minnesota 2, Detroit 1 – Game 2 of the sweep. Weird.
Angels 4, Chicago 1 -Detroit fans and Chciago fans believe they won’t be in the post season this year. Weird.
