Despite a 3-1 week that culminated with a series victory over Wake Forest, Florida State made virtually no move in the latest poll. Released on Monday, the Seminoles remained fifth in the USA Today Coaches poll and the Baseball America poll.
In the NCBWA poll, the Seminoles also stayed put — this time at #4. The only poll that saw FSU move at all was the Collegiate Baseball poll. That poll has Florida State up one spot from seventh to sixth. That is the lowest that the Seminoles are ranked in any of the four major polls.
Florida State will have the opportunity to make a major move in next week’s poll. The Seminoles play two games against Stetson during the week before hosting Virginia next weekend. The Cavaliers currently hold the top spot in three of the four major polls.
