Ducks lead 35-7 at halftime in a game similar to last week, explosive, big-play offense and extremely ineffective defense against an undermanned opponent. Instead of bend and don’t break it’s break and break some more, which will not fly against Nick Foles.
LaMichael James with 204 yards and 3 tds. Great to see the o-line creating better seams. Great blocks by Cody and Asper.
Big lead means the second half will belong to the developing players.
On a scoring drive, De’Anthony Thomas, Tra Carson, Bryan Bennett and Colt Lyerla all make plays, Lyerla with his second touchdown catch of the game. With his size and physical gifts, he will be a very dangerous weapon in the Red Zone and at the goal line, a dimension the Ducks could have used in last year’s BCS. Makes a nice, nice play to get into the end zone, athletic ability and will.
This is a tremendous freshman class.
