Penn State Icers take on Division 3 Neumann at Citizens Bank Park
Your Penn State Icers get to participate in the ongoing Winter Classic festivities in Philadelphia tonight when they take on Neumann University at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. The baseball stadium-turned ice rink has been hosting a number of hockey events over the past week, highlighted by the New York Rangers’ 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers in the pinnacle of the NHL’s Winter Classic. Tonight’s college hockey game is just one of the other hockey games taking place this week, with a minor league game being played Friday night.
Nittany Lion’s Den will be on the scene later today to soak in the atmosphere and a few Penn State fans will be tailgating outside before the game. Check back later for photos and some video from the event, as well as a recap of the action on the ice.
