A lot of casual Eagles fans are still not aware that Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers is probably sitting this game out on Saturday night…or if he plays, it won’t be for more than an opening series. I had to chuckle a little when PE.com released this fan poll late Friday asking fans to vote for their favorite area of focus on the Eagles in this preseason matchup—after an hour of fan voting, here were the results:

Oh dear!…Hopefully by now those early voters at PE.com know the QB the Eagles will be defending in the first half will be Brett Hundley, not Rodgers.
Still, while the Packers have made a tactical decision to sit most of their star players, it’s going to be a big challenge for the Eagles to come out of this thing with a sense of confidence that the base stuff they’re running on offense and defense is going to work out real nicely in mid-September. Also, this is a huge game for a select bunch of guys trying to make the final roster or the practice squad—or at least put some well-executed plays on tape to showcase their individual potential to another team in the league.
