Kelvin Gastelum is a big underdog due to the fact that he’s returning to a higher weight class and not exactly by choice. However, it should be noted that in the UFC, Gastelum is 2-0 with wins over Nate Marquardt and Uriah Hall. In those fights he looked far more energetic and had a better gas tank than at welterweight. When he steps in with Kennedy, it’ll take all of that energy to take care of the grappling. With Kennedy returning from the longest layoff of his career though, it seems like a smart bet to take Gastelum here.
