A true icon for Turner Sports, who specialized in sports broadcasting for over 40 years, longtime broadcaster Craig Sager lost his battle with leukemia today at the age of 65.
A man that dressed to impress and was his signature trademark, Sager changed how broadcasting is and put his unique twist on the air. One particular moment that some people think of when Craig Sager is mentioned in conversations, is the interview back in the 2000’s with Kevin Garnett. Garnett in the interview, changed the conversation to how Sager’s clothes did not match at all and gave some “advice” about how Sager should burn the unmatching clothes. Nevertheless, Sager continued wearing his outrageous suits, which personally I enjoyed, and will be remembered as a colorful character who loved life to the max.
“I will live my life full of love and fun. It’s the only way I know. ” – Craig Sager honored at Jimmy V for Perseverance Award
