I was wondering who the different draft sites were predicting the Titans would select in the first round. Checking out 26 of them, the results were mixed. Many thought the Titans would go with a receiver (why do so many people think that every year?) and surprisingly, there were four predictions for a defensive end. The most realistic picks, to me, were the eight for cornerbacks.
The breakdown by position is as follows:
Receiver – 8
Cornerback – 8
Defensive end – 4
Defensive tackle – 3
Linebacker – 2
Center – 1
The breakdown by player:
Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland – 4
Darius Butler, CB, Connecticut – 3
Percy Harvin, WR, Florida – 3
Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech – 3
Ron Brace, DT, Boston College – 2
James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State – 2
D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt – 2
Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest – 2
Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU – 1
Peria Jerry, DT, Mississippi – 1
Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina – 1
Sean Smith, CB, Utah – 1
Max Unger, C, Oregon – 1
