Mike Lowell will have a physical for the Texas Rangers today:
Boston Red Sox third baseman Mke Lowell will be in Arlington today for a physical with the Rangers, a baseball source said, and there should be a resolution to the proposed trade by Sunday.
The Rangers could still let the deal go through even if Lowell needs surgery because he could be ready by spring training. Once Lowell is gone the Sox could then deal for a first or third basemen. Keep your fingers crossed for Adrian Gonzalez.
