Madison Bumgarner Channels Paul Bunyan

Not since Jim Thome have we seen a Major Leaguer so adept at channeling Paul Bunyan.

And while Madison Bumgarner has a long way to go to become the Hall of Fame-caliber player Thome is (he’s got the suspenders and flannel down pat)…he’s doing alright in the axe-wielding department.

The 2014 World Series MVP got all choppy in a recent commercial for Carhartt and while I’ve got no feelings either way about the spot (it’s just the pitcher doing VO whiling swinging away at a tree), I’m wondering if “sissy hands” is/was the best choice of words.
