The Philadelphia Sixers currently have not won a road game since New Years Day, or around that time for that matter. They have an awful road record of 6-22, their worst in 25 seasons. Tonight they take on the Orlando Magic, a team some would say we gave a jump on rebuilding due to their involvement in the Dwight Howard trade. Orlando big man Nick Vucevic, the former Sixer is going to be the focal point of the squad if it wants to end this drought.
Surprisingly, Orlando is on a drought of their own. They are 1-5 since they last defeated the Sixers on Feb 26th. Everyone had little to say after that last game. All except Doug Collins, who after the game said, “I didn’t see that effort coming”. You would think the team would be in desperation mode sitting behind the Bucks who hold the eighth and final playoff spot, but it just has not manifested.
With that being said I would not be surprised no matter the outcome of this game. Whether the streak continues or it is snapped the Philadelphia Sixers season has been a lost cause from the start. Don’t be surprised if Nick Vucevic and Jameer Nelson have big games against a Sixer team who plays lackluster defense.
