Man on the Ground: ROT Rally MMA 2013

As a videographer I recently got an extra job working for a rather local MMA promotion, Kickass Productions. They run their shows out of New Braunfels, Seguin, San Antonio, and Austin, Texas. The first event I worked for them was at the Republic of Texas (ROT) Rally. It’s the largest biker rally in Texas, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I saw plenty of old grandma bikers with their chests painted, a few too many people coming out from the showers at the massive complex, and plenty of drunks. Ofcourse, once I got cageside, my focus never got taken off the fights. Mainly because I was on a twelve foot ladder that was zipped tied to one of the cage posts, but also because the fights were mostly entertaining. It was an amateur card, and a fighter from Seguin, Texas, Boone Blair, was one of the best fights that day. I’ve trained with him before, watched a couple fights of his before too. All I can say is, I think this guy should start plying his wares as a professional, I have that much faith in him. Here’s the video from his fight, I hope you enjoy:
