The Star did a poll of MVP voters, and by their tally system, Manning has the lead. The only problem is that they scored the vote. The real MVP vote is a straight up, one vote system. I’m not sure their poll means much in that respect.
A few voters insisted it was too close to call with five weeks remaining and so much still undecided in the regular season. The MVP is awarded in early January.
“I don’t know that I could separate the top three, and I think there are only three candidates,” said Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “The rest of the season will decide who gets my vote.”
