Marcus Trotter to 2014 Badger Football

It’s been one whole day since Maryland and Rutgers have been part of the Big Ten, and you know, I feel the same. Still think it’ll be weird, but I guess we will see.

Anyways, it’s now 59 days until kickoff, so Marcus Trotter, it’s your turn.

Trotter’s Story So Far:

– Played in five games (including one start) in 2013, earning his first letter. Had nine tackles against both Illinois and Iowa.

– Academic All-Big Ten in both 2011 and 2012

– Was the number 31 high school inside linebacker in the country according to Rivals.

What to Expect in 2014:

Hopefully quite a bit. Playing as Chris Borland’s back-up, it’s hard to really show your talent. This is the red-shirt senior’s year to shine as he steps in as the starter. He did very well in games against Illinois and Iowa while Borland was out with an injury, so there’s a sample of what’s to come.

We see Trotter as one of the most important new starters on defense this season, and think he’s ready as well.
