In what turned out to be an historic offensive performance, Angels DH Mark Trumbo continued to break out of his offensive slumber in a huge way. Totally five hits and five runs scored, Trumbo homered and also laced three doubles to lead what was a fine all-around Angels attack. Outfielder Josh Hamilton also had himself quite the game, homering for the first time since late August while driving in four runs.
Erick Aybar and Chris Iannetta added two more home runs, Kole Calhoun and Grant Green also drove in runs, and the offense saved what was a terrible pitching performance from starter Jerome Williams. The bullpen backed him up pretty well, however, shutting down the disappointing Blue Jays for the next four innings without allowing a baserunner. Nice.

— Mark Trumbo became the only Angel player in all of history to have a game like he had: five hits, five runs scored in a single game (that stat is courtesy of the official Angels twitter feed). And the last time an Angel had five hits in a game? Bobby Abreu in 2011 (thanks Eric Kay, via twitter)
— Josh Hamilton's 3-5 on Tuesday night brought his seasonal average up over the .240 mark, and his season OBP over the .300 mark. Hey, it's progress. Maybe if he finishes strong this season, history might look back at Hamilton's 2013 as mildly terrible, and not a complete dumpster fire, after all.
